Artist Statement

In my previous works I used images of eagles, compasses, card patterns and silhouette figures curved on big linocut plates. Drawing on an uncertain family background for my own long term personal search, and full of questions with limited resolution. It is perhaps time I return back to the values my grandmother taught me to forgive and forget and bring the focus to my future.My titles serve as bits of poetry to a complete story adding to voicing what I think about the circumstances many individuals find themselves in. My work inspired by how I see the world in terms of conflicts during parenting and searching for hope. I use this elements describing a strong vision and values. My work is an examination of the different forms this shield takes.
I use this elements as the denominators of our personal environment.
